It is a newly restored '46 BC-12-D, ser no 5826, NC96226.
First flight since
restoration was on dec 23, 1998. Total time since NEW is 509
hours, airframe
and original A-65-8 engine. The airplane is from Tacoma WA, where
she was
active from '46 to '58 as a trainer and personal plane. Then the
previous
owner bought she and started the rebuild in '62. She then went
into storage
in '65 until I bought it in '97. The last annual inspection was
in 1958!
She was restored by myself and my father, Fred Ludtke from
Whidbey Island.
She will be based in my new home of Franklin PA starting this
summer.
